Corporate Health and Safety
Corporate Health and Safety Team members undertake Continuing Professional
Development in accordance with their membership of the Institute of Occupational
Safety and Health (IOSH) and/or the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.
A training and development plan is drafted each year following a review of individual
needs.
Formal training is provided when it is needed and Corporate Health and Safety Team
members are encouraged to attend IOSH meetings and webinars.
The Corporate Health and Safety Team uses regular in-house learning and
development sessions to update knowledge and maintain competency.
The Corporate Health and Safety Team is a member of the Su昀昀olk and North Essex
Occupational Safety Group and the Waveney Safety and Environment Group both of
which hold monthly meetings with an education element and Corporate Health and
Safety Team members are encouraged to attend when relevant.
One member of the Corporate Health and Safety Team has recently completed a
NEBOSH Level 6 Health and Safety Diploma.
The Health and Safety Manager attained the NEBOSH Certi昀椀cate in Managing Stress
at Work.
Two members of the team completed the 5 day Construction Industry Training Board
(CITB) Site Management Safety Training.
Members of the team completed training provided by the Health and Safety
Executive (HSE) on the Health and Safety (Construction, Design and Management)
Regulations 2015, respirable silica and control of hazardous substances.
